A Star Assist is a trusted provider of support work, domestic assistance, and personalised care services across the NDIS, DVA, Home care and Aged Care sectors.

Founded in 2014, our organisation was built on a deeply personal mission: to deliver consistent, compassionate, and high-quality care to individuals living with disability, ageing clients, and vulnerable members of our community.

Our journey began after a life-changing experience within our own family. As the spouse of a veteran injured in Afghanistan, I saw first-hand the gaps in reliable and person-focused support services. We created A Star Assist to ensure that others navigating similar challenges could access dependable, professional, and genuinely caring assistance—delivered with the dignity and respect everyone deserves.

Over the past decade, we’ve grown into a well-established and respected care provider on the Sunshine Coast, with a team of more than 40 experienced and dedicated staff. Our team shares a common commitment to upholding the highest standards of care and ethical service. Every member is trained, qualified, and supported to meet the unique and evolving needs of our clients.

At the core of our approach is our person-centred philosophy. We don't just assign a worker to a shift—we match people to people. We take the time to understand each individual’s personality, goals, preferences, and support requirements to ensure the right fit, building genuine, long-term relationships based on trust and mutual respect. This human-first approach is what sets us apart in an industry where too often care becomes transactional.

 

Our Team and Services

At A Star Assist, we are proud to have a strong, multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering quality, person-centred care and support across the Sunshine Coast. With over 40 experienced professionals, our services are tailored to meet a wide range of needs across the NDIS, aged care, DVA, and home care sectors.

 

Our team and services are made up of the following:

Office Team

Our Office Team is the backbone of our operations, ensuring a smooth and responsive experience for both clients and staff. This team includes:

• Client Support Officers
• Compliance & Administration Officers
• HR Assistance

They handle day-to-day operations, onboarding, compliance checks, scheduling, and communication to keep everything running seamlessly.

 

Household Servcies Team

Our Domestic Team is dedicated to caring for the home environment with professionalism and respect. They specialise in:

• Interior cleaning and household upkeep
• Laundry, tidying, and meal preparation
• Daily living tasks that help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home

 

Our Exterior & Deeper Household Servcies Team focuses on the more physically demanding or specialised tasks, including:

• Window cleaning and pressure cleaning (General exterior tidy and maintenance of the exterior grounds)
• Deeper interior tasks such as high-touch areas, hard-to-reach spaces, and one-off intensive cleans.

This team is especially suited for homes requiring a little extra support beyond routine tasks.

 

Our Support Team plays a central role in empowering clients through:

• In-home assistance and personal care
• Support with social and community participation
• A person-to-person matching model that ensures every client is paired with a suitable, compassionate support work

 

Whether supporting an NDIS participant to live independently, assisting a veteran at home, or helping a family maintain daily routines, our goal remains the same: to empower our clients with consistent, meaningful support that enhances their quality of life.
